Office Relocations

Edward Technology handles the IT side of office moves for businesses with 10 to 75 employees. Network, internet, and every workstation planned weeks before the move and running on day one after it.

The move starts weeks earlier than you think

Internet circuits at a new address can take four to six weeks to install, and the single most common move disaster is a circuit ordered too late. Cabling contractors book out. Firewalls and Wi-Fi gear need ordering. Phone numbers need porting dates. We build the technology timeline the day you sign the lease, so moving day is execution, not improvisation.

What we handle

A site survey of the new space. Network and firewall design. Wi-Fi coverage planning so the conference room is not a dead zone. Coordination with your internet and phone providers. Workstation teardown, labeling, transport prep, and reassembly. Printers, scanners, and the odd device everyone forgot. Then testing at every single desk before your team arrives.

Built around day one

The cutover happens over a weekend. Your team works Friday at the old office and sits down Monday at the new one: email flows, printers print, files open. And support does not pause, because your people can reach the helpdesk all the way through the move.

Moving is the best time to fix things

A move is the natural moment to retire the aging server and go serverless, replace the switch that has been blinking amber for a year, and bring security up to standard while everything is already being touched. Arriving at the new office with the old problems is a wasted opportunity.

20+ years of moves and builds

Owner Errol Janusz has spent more than two decades building and rebuilding business networks across the western and northwestern suburbs. Moves are where that experience shows.

How far in advance should we plan an office move's IT?

Eight weeks is comfortable. Internet circuits alone can take four to six weeks, and everything else schedules around that date. Call the moment you sign the lease, even before.

Can our team keep working during the move?

That is the point of weekend cutovers. Your team works Friday at the old office and Monday at the new one. Email keeps flowing the whole time because it lives in Microsoft 365, not in a truck.

Do you coordinate with our movers and landlord?

Yes. We work alongside your moving company, your cabling contractor, and the building's management so the technology timeline matches everyone else's.
